RENEW
When people come to the Whole Health Program they experience renewal on all levels. The fresh organic fruits and vegetable juices, massages, walks in nature, breathing classes and colonics, as well as plenty of rest and relaxation, all work together to detox the colon and other organs. All these experiences allow the body to do what it does best - heal itself.
We now offer two weeks of detoxification and cleansing. The first week we support people in cleaning the colon. Using special herbs and organic vegetable juices the colon begins a rejuvenation process.
SOMETHING NEW
This year we are adding a second week of cleansing to the Whole Health program that is specific to the liver. The liver is a major organ of detoxification for the whole body. During this week we incorporate potassium rich broths, liver supporting herbs and tinctures that help detox the liver. In addition, there are two days of a purifying raw food diet and three days juice flushing.
VISION
The year 2005 has been a growing year for Cedar Springs. Enrollment doubled as did the number of cleansing weeks offered. We averaged 2 cleansing weeks per month in 2005.Our goal for 2006 is to continue offering 2 Whole Health Weeks every month and increase the enrollment to 20 guests per month.
HOPE and GOODWILL
A Campaign for Cancer Patients and Families was initiated in 2005 and the goal is to raise $195,000.00 in the next three years. This money will provide scholarship assistance for people with cancer and family members who would benefit from our Whole Health Programs but cannot afford the regular tuition. Since Cedar Springs is a non-profit 501©3 company, all donations are tax deductible. There are four ways we support individuals going through cancer:
- Strengthen their immune system with whole foods
- Detox their organs and tissues with cleansing regimes
- Help them clarify their spiritual purpose and understand how their beliefs affect their health
- Create a healing environment for them to rest and be nurtured
By making a contribution to this fund, you will be giving someone HOPE for a new life. A quality lifestyle is about making different choices. Participating in one of our programs is a beginning for many people. What greater gift is there?
COMMUNITY
Cedar Springs is available for churches, corporations, health and art related groups. We have been blessed in 2005 with yoga groups, knitting and craft groups, churches, horse camps, weddings, family reunions, choirs and theatre workshops and the Graham Group from Europe. The majority has rebooked for 2006. The friendships and support we receive from people in these groups is precious and we look forward to seeing them again!
For those of you who are curious about the facility, the center is an eighty-year-old dairy barn that has been remodeled into a residential lodge that sleeps 22 people. It comes with a large well-equipped kitchen, living and dining room, a 3,000 square foot hall, and covered deck seating for 60 people. We have a very competent and gracious kitchen staff that prepares meals.
It is a pleasure to extend our hospitality to all who come to enjoy the rest and renewal of body, mind and spirit.
May God's Light & Love fill your New Year,
Nan & Michael
